San Diego Tour Descriptions All tours will be on the afternoon of June 10, 2002. Each participant may sign up for one tour as part of his or her registration fee. If you are registering a guest to participate on a tour, please register your guest and provide payment prior to arrival in San Diego. Tours are based on a minimum of 40 participants. Should a tour not meet that number, substitutions may become necessary. In the event of a cancellation, every effort will be made to make substitutions that are acceptable. Balboa Park - Enjoy one of the world’s great urban parks. It’s 1200 acres in central San Diego featuring 15 museums and attractions. You will receive a passport that allows you admission to 13 of the 15 museums. Enjoy the park with a guided tour, or explore on your own. Please allow 4 hours. Guest price $64.00. Scenic San Diego by Land & Sea – Visit San Diego with a narrated tour and see such areas as the Old Town, Balboa Park, Gaslamp District, Horton Plaza, Seaport Village and the Embarcadero. After your land tour, you’ll board a Coast Guard certified yacht to cruise the calm waters of the San Diego Bay. Professional Guides will narrate points of interest such as Coronado Bay Bride, the Navy shipyards, Shelter Island and other areas of interest. Please allow 4 hours. Guest price $34.00. San Diego Zoo – The 100-acre lush botanical garden is one of the area’s most popular attractions. The Zoo is home to more than 4,000 animals representing 800 species; most of who live in encloses which resemble the animal’s natural homes. Your pass also includes admission to Skyfari and the Children’s Zoo. Please allow 4 hours. Guest price $50.00. Military Ship Tour – San Diego is home to the largest military complex in the free world. Your tour will include a stop at the Carbillo National Monument. This breathtaking vantagepoint has spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and the San Diego bay areas. Guests will also drive through Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Naval Oceans Systems Center and the Naval Training Center. Finally, you will enjoy a unique opportunity to take a tour aboard a U.S. Military Ship. Tour subject to final military approval, and can be canceled at any time by the military. Callaway Golf Plant Tour – Head over to Carlsbad for a tour of the 700,000 square feet facility that manufactures some of the finest golf equipment available. Get a glimpse of the Big Bertha woods and irons, Odyssey Putters and Callaway Golf Balls in production. Guests will see how each step ensures that every product meets exact specifications. Come see how these scientist, engineers and computer experts put it all together. Please allow 4 hours. Guest price $25.00. Coronado Walking Tour – Enjoy a leisurely walk through Coronado. Once the playground of Presidents and Princesses, you will get an overview of the island’s history. You will see the hotel Del Coronado, the cottage of the Duchess of Windsor, and the home where the Wizard of Oz was created. Please allow 4 hours, two of which will be spent walking. Guest price $29.00. Sea World – Welcome to America’s great theme park with new shows, attractions and adventures. Your admission allows you to see the Manatee Rescue gallery, the Pacific Northwest’s Shamu Adventure featuring TV personality Jack Hanna, and all of the park’s exhibits and shows. Please allow 4 hours. Guest price $69.00. Foxploration – Travel 45 minutes down Baja to the Fox Studios. Originally built for James Cameron’s epic, "Titanic", the studio offer you a first had look about the production process and some of the inner workings of movie magic. Portions or "Pearl Harbor", and the James Bond series were filmed here as well. Please allow 5 hours. The tour will be crossing into Mexico. Proper documentation to return will be required.
