Abstract Request
Instructions
General oral and poster presentations at the 2001 Winter Conference.
Conference participants are encouraged to submit abstracts for oral or
poster presentation at the 2001 Winter Conference. One general oral
session is scheduled for Wednesday morning during the conference. Several
poster sessions will be scheduled throughout the week. Oral presentation
opportunities are limited, so participants who request oral presentation,
but cannot be accommodated, will be cordially invited to present at a
poster session.
Deadline for submission of oral/poster abstracts is October 6, 2000.
Follow the following instructions to submit an abstract.
1. After reading these instructions, go to the Abstract
Information/Audio-Visual Requirements Form. Complete and submit the form (or print the form and
mail with your other registration forms).
2. Instructions for preparation of abstracts.
- Remember that the abstract submission deadline is October 6, 2000.
- Abstracts will appear in the 2001 Winter Conference program booklet.
- Prepare abstracts using either Microsoft Word or WordPerfect
applications.
- Abstracts may be up to two full pages in length, including figures,
schemes, and tables.
- Use 1 inch (2.54 cm) margins on BOTH left and right sides.
- Use 12 point Helvetica or Times New Roman font
- Use single spaced text.
- Title should appear first, in all capital letters, followed by
authors’ names and addresses. Place an asterisk immediately after
the presenting author’s name. Example is shown below:
TITLE OF YOUR PRESENTATION. Smith, J.D.*, Jones, A.V., and Wang, C.H.
Name of your company or institution, address of your company or
institution, email address of corresponding author.

3. Instructions for submission of abstracts.
Presenters are encouraged to submit their abstracts electronically, by
email attachment, to Rose.Barbre@wl.com
on or before October 6, 2000.
Alternatively, abstracts can be hard mailed to the following address:

Please note that faxed abstract submissions cannot be accepted.
4. Further instructions for oral presentation.
Oral presentations will be 15 minutes in length, with an
additional 5 minutes allowed for question/answer exchange. Time limits
will be strictly enforced by the session chair. You will be notified by
November 30, 2000, regarding acceptance of your submitted abstract for
oral presentation. Alternatively, you will be contacted at that time to
consider a poster presentation.
5. Further instructions for poster presentation.
Posters will be a maximum of 4 feet x 6 feet. Poster
easels/tack pins will be provided. You will be notified by November 30,
2000, regarding acceptance of your submitted abstract for poster
presentation.
